The series is long and grows visibly with its heroine — the early books read as adventure, the last ones as war, and what looked incidental at the start turns out to be the point.

Who it is for

The best choice if you want a long series with a large cast and broken oaths — and if it does not put you off that the first book is written noticeably more simply than the rest.
